Thailand is home to more than 68 million people and 95% of them are buddhist. No wonder you can find here the most beautiful and unique temples in the world.
Also called “Wat” in thai, Bangkok’s temples are the primary tourist attractions of the city. That was what initially drew us to Thailand.
These amazing shinning temples play an important role in the lives of Thai people, but are also used by the monks.
Having visited several of Bangkok’s most famous, iconic temples I am continuously fascinated by the modern structure (built in the 17th century), gorgeous details (made from glass, precious stones or gold) and the meaning of Thailand’s temples.
